House Boat Trip 2012 Shasta Lake!

 lol ...nice driving babe!
This past week we were on a houseboat with Greg's family in celebration of his parents 30th wedding anniversary and his dad's retirement. I knew the trip was going to be fun, but it really was an awesome time! Very relaxing and enjoyable moments with some great people! A lot of food and drinks were consumed this week , which is how we like it!I totally want to do this with my family too and with Greg's family again it really is so much fun wading around in the water, seeing all the stars at night and laughing with family!

I had koozie cups made with a little house boat on them!

 Kisses for Bailey...
We had just set sail and already the drinks were a pouring!

Bailey needing to be in the mix she did so good I'm proud! The water felt amazing and was so pretty!

Big Basin

This weekend we had a really fun and much needed camping trip with my dad. It had been way too long since we had seen my dad and this camping trip was a fantastic way to get back into the swing of things. We camped at Big Basin in the Coastal Redwood Forest. We camped at Little Basin and hiked to Big Basin on Saturday. My family camped at Big Basin when I was young and had GREAT memories there...even of Heather and I getting lost on a hike (even though we found our way back and knew where we were the whole time;) lol. It was great getting to see things I remembered and all these tress still amaze me!

I was our make shift tour guide...

This tree is the Father of the Forest!

This one is the largest in the park and is called the Mother of the Forest.

It's hard to see, but this cabins name was Stephanie!

The fallen tree below and it's roots are one of the things I remembered from when I was a kid!

Lol I love how dad had to stand on the fire pit to catch up to Greg. We had a great trip dad from our uphill hike, the speak easy trunk, the cast iron pot, the fires, bike rides and talks! Hopefully we will see each other sooner than later! xoxo
